Mouthwatering Morsels from Málaga, Andalucia, Spain

Malaga takes a Cultural Grand Jeté that even Rudolph Nureyev would be proud of!

Pompidou

It is finally happening! A city that was once held back by the “Costa del Sol” label is finally breaking free from that label! This week sees the opening of two incredible new art galleries in Málaga that will place it firmly on the map as a cultural destination (and quite rightly so!).

Two openings in a week – surely that is astounding! The Pompidou Centre from Paris opens its doors on the 28th March and the Museum of Russian Art opens to the public on the 25th March. For art lovers it is a dream come true in the city where Picasso was born and a city that already has a plethora of museums including the renowned Picasso Museum and the Carmen Thyssen Museum.

How lucky are we?

Málaga can now hold its head up high as one of the greatest citybreak destinations in Europe. Culture, Gourmet Food, Cheap Flights (from so many European Cities), Sunshine and Beaches (and only a couple of Irish Bars and no Fish and Chips in sight). Sounds like heaven?

Excellent! Can’t wait to visit. Went to the CAC a few weeks ago and it was a great experience. So much art in Málaga!
